‘Mystery at the Milky Way Café’

Maria is an astronomer. Like many female scientists, she was refused an adademic education. She is a lay craftsperson, teaching herself to observe the stars by assisting her father in his laboratory. She conducts experiements in magnetism, and reads signals from a distant military base. Her best friend, a mathematician who predicts the development of a computer to make music, convinces her to publicise the results of her experiment. But the academy refuses to recognise her findings. Maria is forced to begin an intrepid journey, bending space and time through the outback to the stars.

‘Vermissen’

Sie vermisst sich jemand. Niemal gesehen. Guck sehr genau hin, so würdest du kennen.

There is a story from the history of Milan about an alchemist, who claimed to have scattered flakes of gold on several streets in the centre of Milan in the 1600s. The alchemist wears nothing except for the metallic keys he is planning to transform into gold. He is leading around a chemist who makes beauty products and is worried that the eccentric behaviour of his colleague will bring shame on his discipline. The two scientists are being chased by a gold merchant dressed in red, she is hoping to profit from their absurd skills.
